I recently found some free time between making holiday soaps to join Amy Warden’s Soap Challenge and try out a new soaping  technique. This month’s technique is the “Clyde Slide” perfected by the super fantastic Clyde from Vibrant Soaps (his YouTube videos are some of my favorite to watch!)
This technique is a variation of the in-the-pot swirl, and it's one that I will definitely be using again. My husband has been asking me to make him some more Sweet Orange and Chili Pepper scented soap, so I decided to use that for the fragrance. I decided to use Orange, Red and Black against an almost natural background.

I poured the colors into the base colors similar to how Clyde had done on a few of his videos.

After pouring into the mold I swirled the top and put it to rest in the freezer overnight.

It was so hard not to cut this too early, I wanted to cut it as soon as it was poured to see what was on the inside. It was worth the wait! I couldn’t be more excited about how this turned out.

Each bar within the mold was different.

These Sweet Orange and Chili Pepper Bars will be available on October 10th!
